DREAMWEAVER

What is it? A space-age style 3D dodecahedron suspended over a bed and a surround-sound system designed to give a musical massage.

What happens? DreamWeaver inventor Benedick Howard asks you to pick your favourite colours from a pack to build a personality profile from which he selects the music, bass, vocals and drums are not only heard but felt through the bed as soothing vibrations. Differing frequencies affect particular body parts; higher notes resonate the lungs, the lower sounds resonate the larger organs and bones. The geometry of the dodecahedron creates a hearing energy field.

Benefits: An effective stress buster, pain reliever and general tool for rebalancing

Drawbacks: The feeling of sound pulsing through your body can feel odd at first but ultimately works as a highly effective tranquilliser.

Reporter Teresa Chambers's DreamWeaver verdict, "It was brilliant ... would I do it again? Yes indeed. In fact, could some kind person who knows me buy me one for my birthday please?" Read her article online.
