I am engineer trained and have a knack for sniffing out good products and designs. At one stage inn my life I was a development engineer and later in my thirties I was blessed with traveling throughout Africa. A couple of months ago I arrived home in Hawaii from Los Angeles exhausted and so glad to be back in my cabin in the rain forest. During my absence from Hawai'i there was an earthquake that I remembered seeing on the news and talking to friends in Hawaii about it. After the quake the vent O' Puu 'Oo stopped the huge flow down the south hills and all was quiet until July 21st when a new flow started in an easterly direction about 6 miles from my cabin!

Out of the frying pan into the fire! Now the flow has grown to nearly 5 miles and and still flowing red hot with incredible red shies above the flow at night telling how hard the lava is flowing! See latest USGS map of the lava flow.

Almost every night I can see the glow in the sky. Sometimes it is very active and really glowing last week and yesterday I took an arduous hike up to one of the new flows.

I find it so inspiring to be so close to the birthing of the new land and the energy of the lava. I am using it encourage and inspire me to grow richly in happiness and abundance.
